Welcome to Papago! We recognize the importance of personal data to you, and your trust in us is of utmost importance. We are committed to complying with legal and regulatory requirements, by implementing necessary security measures, to safeguard your personal data and ensure it remains secure and controllable.
We are AVEIRO TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “Papago” or “We”). Our registered address is at 9 RAFFLES PLACE, #26-01, REPUBLIC PLAZA, SINGAPORE 048619. We operate online positioning and navigation platforms in different jurisdictions in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations. Such platforms include, but are not limited to, Papago mobile application (hereinafter referred to as “Papago Platforms” or “our Services”). We are the data controller of personal data in connection with your use of Papago Platforms.
This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) describes how the Papago Platforms collect, use, disclose and otherwise process (collectively “process” or “processing”) your personal data. The applicable laws and regulations of certain jurisdictions may impose unique or different requirements on the processing and protection of personal data, and the following terms in this Policy are subject to the requirements in the relevant Appendix: Jurisdiction-specific Notices applicable to you based on your region of residence when accessing our Services. Your region of residence is determined based on the region you are located in when accessing our Services or the region information set by you when you register an Account.

I. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Data
Personal data refers to any data that can directly or indirectly identify a specific natural person (“data subject”).
A. Source of Personal Data
When you use our services on the Papago Platforms, we will obtain your personal data in the following scenarios for the purposes set out in this Policy: information provided by you directly, information collected by us automatically, information from third parties, and publicly-available information.
If you provide the personal data of any individual (other than yourself) to us, you shall ensure that you have lawfully and duly informed the relevant data subject and obtained his/her consent (where required under applicable laws and regulations) to authorize us to process his/her personal data in accordance with this Policy.
B. Purposes for Collecting and Processing Personal Data
We may collect and use your personal data for the following purposes. If you do not provide certain personal data to us, we may not be able to provide the relevant services to you.
1. To Register an Account
To become a registered user of the Papago Platforms, we will collect and process your username, profile picture, mobile phone number, email address, country/region where you are located to manage your Papago account and provide you with a series of practical features.
2. To Provide Notification Services
To provide message notifications, identity verification, security checks, user experience surveys, dispute resolution, or to send you information about services, functions, or activities relevant to you, we may use your phone number and email (collected during registration, login, binding, or survey participation) to send messages via SMS, phone calls (including automated calls), instant messengers or emails. Notifications may also be sent through our Services via in-app messages, notifications, or announcements.
3. To Provide Electronic Maps, Positioning, Navigation and Location-Based Services
For the sake of reader-friendliness, this Section consolidates device/system related personal data into predefined categories. Please refer to Appendix I to find the specific data types associated with each data category.
(1) Browsing and Information Display
If you browse maps, nearby locations, surroundings, Points of Interest (POIs) and other information based on your location, we will collect your location information, browsing history, click information, Device Identifiers, Device Network Environment Information, Device and System Information, Application Information and Service Log Information.
If you use the Favourites function, we will collect locations you record in your Favourites, along with related Service Log Information.
When you create Home, Company or Frequently Visited Locations, you need to input such locations, or we will generate such locations through prediction and then have you confirm them.
(2) Searching
If you use the search service, you need to provide us the search keywords. We will automatically collect your search history, location information, browsing history, click information, Device Identifiers and Service Log Information.
(3) Positioning and Navigation
If you use our location-based services, we will automatically collect your dynamic location information, Device Identifiers, Device Network Environment Information, Sensor Information, Device and System Information, Application Information and Service Log Information.
If you use navigation (including cruise) and route planning services for driving, motorcycling, cycling, walking, running, bus or metro riding, we will collect your starting point, waypoint, destination, departure time, and real-time location information.
(4) Ride-hailing Information Service
When you use our ride-hailing integration feature to access third-party ride-hailing services on Papago platforms, to enable basic functions like positioning, navigation, trip tracking, and order placement and management, we will collect your Device Identifiers, Device Network Environment Information, Sensor Information, Device and System Information, Application Information, Service Log Information, profile picture, username, mobile phone number, dynamic location information, trip information (including starting point, waypoint, destination and route), log information, order information, and chat record. Additionally, to enhance your ride-hailing experience, we may also use your historical trip information to recommend optimal pickup/drop-off points and improve driving route planning.
When using our driver communication services to facilitate interactions with drivers, we will process your Android ID, IDFA, Account ID, username, profile picture, conversation relationship data and Internet call recording.
(5)POIs Interaction and Map Services Improvement
When you write and post reviews about POIs on the map, we will collect your posted content (such as star ratings, texts, and images), geolocation information, posting time, and service log information. In addition, to ensure the security of information posted and to verify the authenticity of reviews, when you post a review or upload photos, we will also collect your location information and navigation information (indicating whether you have navigated to the location of the review).
When you submit feedback about map information errors, navigation problems, inaccurate location information and other problems to us, in order to better identify and resolve the issue you report and help us improve the accuracy of map information, we may collect and use the following information you provide, including the type of issue you selected, issue descriptions, supporting screenshots, device information (including device model, system version, APP version, and network condition), and email address you voluntarily provide.
4. To Provide Customer Service
When you contact us, consult us, make complaints, file reports, or apply for in-sales support, after-sales service, or dispute resolution, in order to protect the security of your account and the system, verify your identity and assist you in investigating and resolving issues, we may collect and use your information based on the type of issue that requires our support, such as mobile phone number, username, email address, historical record, account information, order information, and Service Log Information.
To facilitate communication with you, quickly resolve problems, and record the handling solutions and results of relevant issues, we will collect the content of our communications, messages/call records and relevant information, including account information, order information, other information you provide to prove relevant facts, or contact information you leave.
For the reasonable needs of providing customer services and improving service quality, we may use the mobile phone number bound when you register, log in, or use our Services to proactively contact you. We may also collect and use your software operation interface data, activity records of your use of our Services, relevant information you provide when contacting customer service, and questionnaire response information you send us when participating in questionnaires.
5. To Ensure Security of Our Services
To fulfill legal obligations for security protection, enhance the safety of Papago Services provided by us, our affiliates, and partners, and protect the personal safety, property security, account security, and transaction security of you and others, we collect certain information to prevent security risks such as phishing sites, fraud, cyber vulnerabilities, viruses, cyber-attacks, unauthorized intrusions, or malicious programs. It also helps us detect violations of laws, regulations, and the terms governing our products and services. The information we may collect includes Device Identifiers, Application Information, Device and System Information, Device Network Environment Information, and Sensor Information. Additionally, we may access or integrate your account information, Service Log Information, and information that we, our affiliates, and partners have obtained with your authorization or shared in accordance with the law.
6. To Conduct Statistical Analysis and Improve Our Services
We may use your de-identified or pseudonymised personal data for statistical analysis, service improvements, design innovations, and the development of new services. This includes supporting commercial decisions and operational activities while ensuring that we will continue to safeguard your information and privacy in accordance with applicable laws. Additionally, we may derive real-time traffic conditions from such analysis.
Besides, following industry-leading data security practices such as de-identification, anonymization, and pseudonymization, and using privacy-preserving computing technologies like federated learning, secure multi-party computation, and confidential computing where applicable, we analyse and mine the data we have collected without identifying specific individuals. We will take technical other necessary security measures for processing and conducting aggregated and anonymized group analysis and research and may also use the data for machine learning or algorithm model. We generally endeavour to use anonymised data analysis results to improve or enhance our services, methods and processes or create new functions and services. However, in certain cases we may process data in a pseudonymised or de-identified form for the aforementioned purposes.
Such data may include your Device Identifiers, Device Network Environment Information, Sensor Information, Device and System Information, Application Information and Service Log Information.
7. Other Purposes
If we use your personal data for purposes not specified in this Policy or for new purposes different from those stated at the time of collection, we will obtain your consent for such use or rely on another legal basis for processing under applicable data protection laws.
C. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
The legal frameworks governing personal data processing vary across jurisdictions. While certain jurisdictions require specific legal bases for data processing, others do not mandate any legal basis for such activities. If the applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction mandate consent as the sole legal basis for processing personal data, then we request your consent to our processing of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The following provides an overview of the legal bases we typically rely on, though their application is subject to regional laws and may differ in your jurisdiction:

Further, in the event that no other legal basis applies in your jurisdiction, we will seek your consent. Subject to applicable laws, we may also seek your consent where we consider appropriate, even if another legal basis for processing could apply.

Where the processing is necessary for the conclusion and performance of contract between you and us.
We may rely on the necessity for conclusion and performance of contract for the following purposes: “Section I.B.1. To Register an Account”; “Section I.B.2. It is necessary for us to pursue our legitimate interests by achieving the following purposes: “Section I.B.5. To Ensure Security of Our Services” (our legitimate interest is to ensure the security and reliability of our services and information systems, and to prevent fraud, abuse and other illegal acts); “Section I.B.6. To Conduct Statistical Analysis and Improve Our Services” (our legitimate interest is to conduct statistical analysis on how users use our services, and to improve and optimize our services), “Section I.B.7. Other Purposes”.

D. Retention Period and Deletion of Personal Data
Please note that all personal data you provide when using our products or services will remain authorized for our use during your usage, unless you delete it or refuse our collection through system settings.
We will delete or anonymize your personal data after we can no longer retain such information (e.g., the personal data is no longer necessary for the intended purposes), except if we are permitted or required to keep it by applicable laws, regulations or court orders. After you request account cancellation, we will delete your personal data and cease its use in due course.
If we decide to no longer provide our Services, we will stop collecting your personal data right away and notify you either individually or through announcements. We will also delete or anonymize any personal data about you, except if we are permitted or required to keep it by applicable laws, regulations or court orders.
II. How We Use Cookies
Cookies and similar device identifier technologies are commonly used in internet services. When you use our Services, we may send one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers (collectively, “Cookies”) to your device to collect, identify, and store information about your use of our Services. We commit not to use Cookies for any purpose beyond those described in this Policy. Cookies are primarily employed to ensure the security and efficient operation of our Services. They allow us to verify the security status of your account and transactions, troubleshoot crashes or delays, and help you avoid repeating steps, such as filling out forms or entering search queries.
Additionally, we may use Cookies to display information or functions that might be of interest to you, analyze data, optimize ad targeting, and improve the user experience of our Services. Most browsers provide users with the ability to clear cache data. You may modify your preferences regarding Cookie acceptance or reject our Cookies, but these changes may limit your access to Cookie-dependent functions or services.
III. How We Share and Disclose Your Personal Data
Under the following circumstances, we may share, entrust the processing of, transfer, or otherwise disclose your personal data to the necessary extent.
A. Sharing and Disclosure Within Our Corporate Group
We may share your personal data with our parent company, subsidiaries, and affiliates to provide and improve our services, conduct business operations, and ensure consistent service delivery across our platforms.
B. Sharing with Ride-hailing and Driver Communication Service Providers
When you use ride-hailing information services, we will share the following necessary information with third-party ride-hailing service providers to fulfill their services: mobile phone number, trip information (including starting point, waypoint and destination), order information, and chat record.
When you use our driver communication services to interact with drivers, we will share the following necessary information with third-party communication service providers to fulfill their services: Android ID, IDFA, Account ID, username, profile picture, conversation relationship data and Internet call recording.
C. Entrusted Processing by Third Parties
We may entrust service providers to represent or assist us in providing services to you to support the development, operation, and improvement of Papago Platforms. The services provided by them will include security services, statistical analysis services, cloud services and technical services. The service providers will only act as data processor and will be entrusted to process the personal data for the purposes of Papago required for provision of their services.
D. Sharing and Disclosure that is Necessary for Providing Our Services
If you provide feedback regarding traffic information to us, we will publicly display your username, traffic information you provided, and the time of your feedback. If you submit comments for POIs, we will publicly display your username, profile picture, and content of your comments. With your consent, we will publicly display the location information associated with the comments (e.g., locations you have navigated to, made purchases at, or commented on-site).
To comply with laws, enforce or apply Papago Terms of Service and other agreements, respond to your rights, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Papago Platforms, you, and other Papago Platforms users, such as for the purposes of preventing fraud and illegal activities and reducing credit risk, we may exchange information with other companies and organizations. However, this does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personal data for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments made in this Policy.
We will only share or disclose your personal data that is necessary for providing our services and will require personal data recipients to take measures to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal data. We will obtain your separate explicit consent if we share your personal sensitive information or change the purpose for the processing and use of your personal data, if such consent is required under applicable laws and regulations.
E. Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you of any such transfer and ensure the receiving party commits to protecting your data in accordance with this Policy.
F. Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may publicly disclose aggregated or anonymized information that cannot directly identify individual users to understand how users interact with our Services or to provide the public with insights into overall usage trends of our Services.
We will not publicly disclose your personal data, unless we have obtained your consent or satisfied another legal basis under applicable laws and regulations, or when you voluntarily choose to do so.
IV. International Transfer of Your Personal Data
Our Services are available globally, and we use service providers in multiple countries and regions. Your personal data may be transferred from the country/region where you are located (“Home Country”) to other countries/regions (“Alternate Countries”). The data protection laws in the Alternate Countries may differ from those in your Home Country. When we transfer your personal data from your Home Country to the Alternate Countries, where the transfer may not be subject to an adequacy decision or regulations, we will take measures to comply with the legal requirements for cross-border transfer of personal data in your Home Country and strive to achieve a materially equivalent level of data protection as that in your Home Country. V. How We Protect Your Personal Data
A. Organizational Measures for Data Protection Management
We have established an industry-leading data security management system centered on the data lifecycle, enhancing personal information security through organizational structures, system design, personnel management, and technical solutions. We conduct regular training and assessments to strengthen employees’ awareness of the importance of personal information protection.
B. Technical Measures for Information Protection
We implement industry-standard, reasonable, and feasible security measures to protect your personal information and prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, usage, modification, damage, or loss. Examples include using encryption technology to enhance the security of personal information. Data exchanges between your browser and our servers are protected using SSL protocols, providing HTTPS secure browsing, employing trusted mechanisms to protect personal information from malicious attacks, and deploying access control mechanisms to ensure only authorized personnel can access personal information.
We make every effort to ensure the security of any information you transmit to us. However, please understand that due to technological limitations and various malicious methods that may exist in the internet environment, you should be aware that the systems and communication networks you use to access our services may encounter issues due to factors beyond our control.
VI. Your Personal Data Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, you may enjoy all, or part of, the following rights to your personal data. The availability of these rights may vary depending on your jurisdiction and the legal basis for processing. You may request for exercising your rights by contacting us as indicated in “Section XI. How to Contact Us” of this Policy.
A. Know / Be Informed
You have the right to receive clear information about how we process your personal data, which we provide through this Policy.
B. Access Your Personal Data
You have the right to access your personal data, except as otherwise provided by applicable laws or regulations.
C. Correct or Supplement Your Personal Data
You can request correction of inaccurate personal data and completion of incomplete information.
D. Delete Your Personal Data
You are entitled to request that we erase your personal data, and we shall delete your personal data in accordance with circumstances specified under applicable laws and regulations. Please note that certain exceptions may be applicable where we may decline to comply with, or are legally obligated not to fulfil, your request, such as when necessary for establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
E. Restrict Processing
You have the right to require us to stop processing the personal data we hold about you other than for storage purposes in certain circumstances. Please note, however, that if we stop processing the personal data, we may use it again if there are valid grounds under data protection laws for us to do so (for example, for the defence of legal claims or for another’s protection).
F. Data Portability
You can receive a copy of your personal data and transmit the personal data under your Papago account in a structured, machine-readable format in accordance with applicable laws or regulations. To ensure the security of your personal data, we may need to verify your identity before processing your data portability request. Please note that direct transmission to another party can only be provided where it is technically feasible and does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others. While we strive to provide data portability services at no charge, in cases where fulfilling your request would require disproportionate effort or involve extraordinary costs due to the complexity or volume of data involved, we may need to charge a reasonable administrative fee, which we will discuss with you beforehand so you can decide how you would like to proceed.
G. Object
You are entitled to object to our processing of your personal data when such processing is grounded on our legitimate interests or public interests.
You may request that we refrain from using your personal data for marketing activities.
I. Withdraw Your Consent
You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any point in time when our processing of personal data relies on your consent as the lawful basis. Following your withdrawal of consent, we may be unable to continue providing you with the relevant functions and services. Nevertheless, your decision to withdraw consent shall not impact our prior processing of personal data that was conducted based on your previously given consent.
J. Cancel Your Account
You are entitled to cancel your account of Papago Platforms through the following methods:
Submit a cancellation request via “My” > “Settings” > “Account and Security” > “Account Cancellation”.
To protect your legitimate interest and those of others, before cancelling your account, we may need to verify your identity and review your usage of Papago Platforms to determine eligibility. For instance, we may not process cancellation if there are pending orders, unpaid ride-hailing fees, or linked third-party accounts or services.
After account cancellation, we will cease providing products or services, delete or anonymize your personal information as required by applicable laws, or restrict its processing to storage and security measures, unless otherwise required by law.
VII. Information We May Send to You
When you use our Services, we may send you messages via SMS, phone calls (including automated calls), or emails. Notifications may also be sent through our Services via in-app messages, notifications, or announcements. You can choose to opt out of these communications by sending an email to dpo@aimap.com. However, when we send you essential service-related communications, (e.g., account security notifications, service updates and maintenance notices, legal and policy changes), these communications are necessary for our service provision and cannot be opted out of while maintaining an active account.
VIII. Protection of Minors
Papago is not directed toward individuals under 16 years of age (or the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction), and we do not intentionally collect or solicit personal data from such users.
If you are a minor under applicable law, you must obtain prior consent from your parent or legal guardian before using our products or services. You should review this Policy under parental supervision and ensure you have received their consent before using our services or providing us with any information. If your parent or legal guardian does not approve of your use of our products or services in accordance with this Policy, you must immediately discontinue use and notify us promptly.
When we collect personal data from minors with proper parental or guardian consent, we will only use or disclose this information when permitted by law, explicitly authorized by the parent or guardian, or necessary to protect the minor’s welfare.
If you are a guardian of a minor, please carefully review this Policy before the minor registers for or uses our services. Should you have questions about the minor’s use of our products or services, or about the information they provide to us, please contact us immediately using the details provided in “Section XI. How to Contact Us” of this Policy.
We protect the confidentiality and security of minors’ information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and this Policy. If we discover that we have collected personal data from a minor without proper parental or guardian consent, we will delete such information promptly.
IX. Scope of Application
This Policy applies to all our Services. Certain Services may have specific privacy statements that provide additional details about information handling for those particular services. Where conflicts arise between this Policy and service-specific privacy statements, the service-specific statements take precedence. This Policy does not cover services offered by third-party companies or individuals.
X. How We Update This Policy
This Policy forms an integral part of the Papago Terms of Service. We reserve the right to update or modify this Policy periodically. We will not diminish your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent.
We will notify you of any changes through appropriate means, including in-app notifications or pop-up window, to ensure you are promptly informed of Privacy Policy modifications.
For material changes involving the purposes, methods, or categories of personal data processing, we will seek your renewed consent as required by applicable data protection laws.
XI. How to Contact Us
If you have any questions, opinions, or suggestions regarding this Policy, or if you have concerns about the collection, use, sharing, access, deletion, or correction of your personal data while using Papago Platforms, or you wish to reach out to our Data Protection Officer for issues specifically related to personal data protection, you may send an email to the following email address.
Response Time: We aim to respond to privacy inquiries within 30 days or as required by applicable law.
Appendix I: Explanation of Personal Data Categories
Device Identifiers: Unique, non-alterable codes assigned to your device for the purpose of identifying and distinguishing the device, such as IDFA, Android ID, Harmony OAID, and OpenUDID.
Device Network Environment Information: Information related to your device’s network connection status and surrounding network conditions, such as IP address, GNSS information, base station information, Wi-Fi status, Wi-Fi parameters, Wi-Fi lists, SSID, BSSID, Wi-Fi signal strength information, device signal strength information, and Bluetooth information.
Sensor Information: Measurements and data gathered from various sensors, such as vector, geomagnetic readings, acceleration, gyroscope, direction, photosensitive, pressure, gravity, step counting and step detection.
Device and System Information: Parameters and information related to your device’s hardware and operation system, such as device type, device model, operating system, hardware serial number and other hardware-related information, and external storage directory.
Application Information: Information related to the Papago Platforms, such as crash reports, notification settings, running processes, and other application or website related information.
Service Log Information: Records generated during the use of our Services to monitor operational status, such as browsing history, click and view logs, search query records, favorites, transactions, after-sales services, follow/share information, published information, as well as IP address, browser type, telecom operator, language used, and access dates and times.
Appendix II: Jurisdiction-Specific Notices
For Users in Thailand
1. Cross-border transfer of personal data
We will conduct cross-border transfer of personal data in accordance with “Section IV. International Transfer of Your Personal Data” of this Policy, including transfer to Alternate Countries outside of Thailand. We will comply with our legal and regulatory obligations in relation to your personal data, including having a lawful basis for transferring personal data and taking appropriate security measures in place to ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal data. We will also ensure that the recipients in the Alternate Countries are obliged to protect your personal data at a standard of protection comparable to the protection under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (“Thailand PDPA”).
2.Protection of minors
If you are under the age of 20, we recommend that your parents or guardians read this Policy together with you. You represent that you have obtained your parent or guardian's consent before using our service or submitting your data to us. In the event that we send you commercial information, you represent that you have obtained your parent or guardian’s consent before agreeing to receive such information.
We reserve the right to request proof of parental or legal guardian consent from you at any time.
If we become aware that personal data of minors have been collected, used, and/or disclosed for purposes of providing our service without parental consent, or appropriate legal basis, we will take the appropriate steps to delete or anonymize this personal data unless there is a legal ground for us to collect, use, and/or disclose such personal data.
3. Retention Period and Deletion of Personal data
In general, we will retain your personal data throughout the period which you use the Papago Platform and for ten (10) years after the cessation of our contractual relationship, or our last contact/communication, unless otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.
Notwithstanding the above, we may retain your personal data longer than the above period, only as otherwise permitted or specified by the applicable law.
4. Purposes for Collecting and Processing Personal data
In the event that your personal data is required for the performance of contract or for pre-contractual measures, and you did not provide such personal data to us, we may not be able to proceed with your request to enter into a contract with us, or may not be able to perform our obligation under the contract with you, either in whole or in part. For example, we may not be able to provide you with Papago Platforms, either in whole or in part. In addition, in the event that your personal data is required for the performance of legal obligations under Thai law, failure to provide personal data under said circumstance may result in us and/or you being in breach of the applicable law or regulation.

Subject to the requirements and conditions under the Thailand PDPA and applicable laws, you are entitled to the following rights to your personal data:

Access Your Personal Data
You have the right to request to have access to, or to obtain a copy of your personal data, and to request that we disclose the source(s) of your personal data which has been obtained without your consent.
B.
Data Portability
